To the point of Malaysian Indian citizens being stripped off their citizenships for allegedly being a voter in India and now asked to instead start from scratch and apply to become a Permanent Resident. The Indian High Commissioner has confirmed that India does not allow foreigners to register as voters in India.

Even the Malaysian Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) has zero powers to address this problem when their Commissioner met up with no less than the Home Ministry Secretary General on Mageswari’s case!

This UMNO political rhetoric and a bluff surfaces from time to time but is never meant to be implemented.

UMNO tells us that as of now there are 10% non Malays in RMC which is again another political rhetoric and bluff. It will only become true when UMNO becomes transparent and publishes and makes public the names in at least the website of RMC.

Even then an Indian graduate of cannot become the Army Chief or hold any of the top 20 army post however capable or qualified he is. there is no upward mobility in the armed forces for non-malays.

But even in the 1960s’ we had Lt Kol K. Thanabalasingam who was the first and last navy Chief of Malaysia.

Collin Powell a black son of an immigrant to the USA could be the Army Chief and then Chief of Staff in the USA.

But in UMNO Prime Minister Najib Razak’s One Malay-sia, this is not possible.

The single most serious violation of human rights in Malaysia ever since is and has been UMNO’s religious and racial supremacy in supposedly the name of Article 153 (1) of the Federal Constitution (which has no provision for the same). And the poor and powerless Malaysian Indian have suffered and suffereing the most and on a day to day basis from even the most elementary basic necessities like food, shelter, clothing, denied birth certificates and identity cards, jobs, business licences and business opportunities, their Hindu temples and cemeteries demolished, Tamil schools in cowshed like conditions, etc.

But the almost always Indian led Bar Council leaders out of their inferiority and minority complex syndrome lends zero voice to the poor and powerless Malaysian Indians but would readily and with great ease champion orang asli, malay and Chinese causes.

Observe that they called an EGM when Teresa Kok and Raja Petra was arrested, but no EGM when four of their own lawyers are arrested after the Hindraf Rally.

But on a positive note we see change coming slowly but surely.

This 0.003% is how low priority UMNO has accorded for justice for the poor man and that too for the first time in the history of Malaysia’s 53 year old Independence history.

The Bar Council today plays to UMNO’s tune and does almost all mere wayang kulit theatrics P.G (plead guilty) mitigation, and some joint divorce petition cases and utilize RM 5 million of member’s forced legal aid subscription in facilitating UMNO’s conviction without trial summary justice. Easy way out!

The Bar Council refuse to attend or seriously address the very serious abuse of police powers, torture and beating up in police custody or the malicious and vindictive prosecution by the police and the attorney general inspite that by virtue of Section 42 of the Legal Profession Act they have a statutory duty to “uphold the cause of justice without fear or favour”.

The Bar Council Chairman says that in 80% of criminal cases, the accused are not represented by lawyers. Our estimate is 98% and they all end up pleading guilty and serving sentences for offences they may not have committed because they also do not have money for bail besides not being able to afford the services of a lawyer.

The UMNO led Malaysian government should grant at least RM 1 billion or approximately 0.5% of the National budget for legal aid for the poor man. Why should the poor man be denied justice just because he is poor?

Then we will see the police run for their money in so far as police efficiency vis a vis police abuse of powers, deaths and murders in police custody, police murder by shooting dead suspects police corruption etc.

DAP was ruling Perak for about one year and two months but it’s sole Indian Exco mandore two other MP mandores and the 57 Indian Councillors were powerless and toothless to even secure the very basic land for all 138 Tamil schools, all Hindu cemeteries, all Hindu temples and Indian settlements in Perak.

Because as the Indian mandores they have to kowtow to their DAP towkays and never to raise these issues because they fear losing the Malay votes.

To the contrary this towkay DAP party within one month of coming to power in Perak approved 2,500 acres of land to 9 Chinese secondary schools, 78,000 Chinese New Villagers, 110,000 Malay muslim Rancangan Kampong Tersusun and ten acres for every orang asli family in Perak.

In short just about every other community in Perak got land within one month of PR rule except the Indians.

Mandores are mandores the same be they from MIC, DAP, PKR or PAS.

This Selangor Indian Exco mandore does the perfect, a la MIC for UMNO mandore job, for his tuan Anwar Ibrahim’s PKR to make money from developer of One City.

But the history and heritage of the plantation Indian Hindu community in Puchong is ‘ethnically cleansed’.

In return this Hindu temple is temporarily relocated to another backwater 0.4 hectres , far from the existing prime lucrative land this Hindu temple is sitting on.

And this hindu temple will never be given a permanent land title and will either be relocated again or demolished for good one fine day for being on state land, as has been going on in the last 53 years of the UMNO and PKR Selangor regime.
